Junk Mail Filters

Junk mail filtering strips out any messages containing spam or viruses before you receive them and is enabled by default on all mailboxes we host. Messages containing a virus are automatically rejected and messages classified as spam will be placed into the “Junk” folder for that mailbox.

  1. Inbox Rules: You can set server-level Inbox rules/filters inside Webmail. This allows you to move messages from certain senders or containing certain words into folders, based on one or more conditions you choose. You can configure these rules from the Filters menu inside Webmail. Head to Settings > Filters > Default to get started.
  2. Junk Filter Levels: You can control the level at which junk mail is filtered for your domain. Note that setting filtering too high may result in some emails being incorrectly filtered.
    1. Set filter level to High.
    2. Click Save Changes.
  3. Reject by Sender: You can block email from a whole domain or TLD, for example, if you wanted to block mail from hotmail.com enter ‘hotmail.com’ as the ‘sender address’ below. Or, to block all mail from domains ending .ru enter ‘.ru’ as the ‘sender address’.
